My favorite things in NYC are brunch and rooftop bars. Well, Ampia Restaurant and Rooftop managed to get it both!
I know my last post about an NYC cool spot did not include brunch, but as a brunch lover/ loyal brunch soldier/ devoted to brunch (all of these together, lol) I obviously came back to what matters around here!
I have been in NYC for five years. For four years I have lived in Hell’s Kitchen area. Since I moved downtown (Financial District) I fell in love with the area and found so many lovely spots around my new neighborhood. Ampia rooftop is definitely one of those lovely places!
The food is traditional Italian and very well served. No, they do not do any specials for a bunch of time… So if you are going there for brunch, you know that you will be eating traditional Italian instead of steak and eggs but, legit, totally worth it!
They have many different cocktails (DUH!), but they are famous for their thematic cocktails and are very well presented.
This is the perfect kinda place for a lovely brunch with friends, a brunch date, or evening cocktails.
