The main idea of opening a new Mexican space it was to be able to create a selected menu of cocktails inspired by the traditional Mexican liquors but with delicate touch of contemporary/NY tastes.
She Bugz Me and Matador's Wife are the best sellers of the menu and each one of them present a very peculiar and delicious taste - I particularly recommend El Matador's Wife!
Food
The food is tricky! Casa Del Toro is all about the cocktails, but once you decide to check their menu it gets impossible to not try all selection of tacos they have.
With 13 different taco flavors, you can chose between traditional Tinga de Pollo (braised adobo chicken, onion and avocado) or Pato (roast duck, jicama, salsa naranja).
The food was adapted to match the innovative idea of fine Mexican cocktails with NYC touch.
Also, just a friendly reminder, Casa Del Toro is doing a Taco Tuesday - Any of their delicious tacos for $3 each during happy hour. This is a great deal, but be careful! You might not resist and literally order all the 13 options on their menu (and honestly, you should!).
