IMMIGRANT SERIES - All That You Need Is Determination And A Little Bit Of Luck

Ok, it has been a while since I wanted to write this blog post. For those who don’t know yet, I am very (VERY) catholic. I grew up in this environment and I have so much faith and love that, if it wasn’t for that, I would probably not have made it in NYC this far. But besides faith, one thing that I wanted to open up about is that all you need is determination and a little bit of luck. Saint Patrick’s kinda lucky.

Believe me, this guy is my hero! He had my back in uncountable situations and he continues to do so. Unfortunately, nowadays the true meaning of Saint Patrick’s day has been lost, and all that people can think about is getting drunk, pouring green beers, and dancing on the street during March 17th. Let me tell you, if you are like me, even if it is just a little bit, you should start paying more attention to things faith can do. Especially this guy!

Saint Patrick is an Irish saint and that is why the green color along with the beer-drinking contest on this day, but, looking back to our traditions and the real reason why he is a saint, things are very different.

This saint represents luck, money, and health. Countless times needed help with money (NYC kinda thing) and BOOM! Somehow I figured things out and I have never been late with any of my bills. For all the moments I had to pray for my family, who is far away from me, health, he was there for me.

It took me a lot of courage to write this blog and open up about this, but I felt like this needed to be shared. I know I am not alone out there and, by writing this blog post I am actually asking all my readers for a little favor. Not for me, but yourself. It is incredible what faith can do and, if you think about this day by its true meanings, you will see a whole different reason to drink a beer on this Saint Patrick’s day.

As I said, it is incredible what faith can do, and I have SO much faith in this guy. Can you guys see the emerald, the green color, and the luck associations now? Haha, that is right! Saint Patrick and emeralds are a powerful combination. So today, on March 17th, I wanted to ask you all to take a moment to write about your goals, focus on the steps you need to take to conquer your dreams, and make a prayer to this guy. He will listen to you!

Also, if you can please have a Guinness for me today, I would very much appreciate that! I made a promise to the saint that I can’t drink on March 17th for the next five years… I know, hard stuff! But this guy is worth it and, come on, I am already in year two… I will survive another three!
