Ok, so if you have read my previous blog post about Stone Street, you would know that Route 66 Smokehouse is one of my fav places around there, but this time I want to dive in and tell you why this is one of my fav places around the Financial District area.
Let’s not start with the delicious food they have, but let’s talk about what matters around here: brunch deals! Yes, they have an amazing bottomless brunch and two (yes, TWO) kinds of brunch deals.
Route 66 house deal
$25 bucks for a 90 minutes unlimited deal of mimosas, bellinis, and beer. Yes, you can switch between them in those 90 minutes. To be able to get this deal you have to purchase an entree, which can be anything from the brunch menu, and entrees are about $18 so with $43 you can have unlimited drinks and food - no this does not include taxes and tips, so be ready to give the server a great tip because they not only deserve (everyone there is super nice) but also because you are getting a pretty good deal.
Route 66 house Pulsd deal
Ok, yes, they are on the Pulsd app too! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE PULSD APP (lol, but for real).
For those who do not know what Pulsd is, this is a miracle app where you can buy a deal for everything. Literally, everything! From brunch and dinner deals to spa day pass, massages, sample sale entry, standup comedy ticks… everything. And no, there is no catch on this app, you just have to read the instructions and make sure you know what is included in the deal you are buying.
Route 66 for example, their deal on Pulsd is $49 brunch for two (yes, FOR TWO). This includes 90 minutes bottomless and two entrees (brunch entrees only). So if you want to get a good deal and have a lovely brunch with your gal, this is the app and this is the place. You are welcome!
PS: this also does not include taxes and tips.
But besides really awesome brunch deals, their food is legit good. The hangover breakfast burger, the southern breakfast, and the cauliflower are my favorite. They have a great selection of American/Gastropub/soul food styles, so I am sure you will love it.
The drinks are pretty standard. They have a wide selection of draft beers and any of your favorite cocktails, they should be able to make it.
Ok, the main important part. Even more important than brunch deals (lol, but for real), is the fact that they are not only a restaurant/bar, they have a second floor FULL of bar games. YAYYYYYY!
When I say full of bar games, I am not joking! Darts, paintball, ping pong, Jenga, PlayStation, Mario Nintendo (yup!), and a bunch of other games I love but do not even know the name in English…
Now, during the daytime, especially brunch time on Sundays, they are not super packed, so you should have space to go play all games you want, BUT Fridays and Saturdays night are packed and insane over there. So I do recommend making a reservation or trying to get there a little earlier.
