THE HIDEAWAY SEAPORT

Do you know those small, but super cozy places that have been in the neighborhood forever but you didn’t notice? Well, that is The Hideaway Seaport!

This place is super cute, has been in the Seaport area for a couple of years now and they have a sister location called The Hideaway Tribeca, but let’s focus on Seaport first.

Traditional gastropub style, they have a great selection of beers on draft, cocktails, and good food.

If you are going there for some food. Go for the wings! No jokes, all my friends that have been there said that they have the best wings. According to my husband “hands down some of the best wings I've tried”. His words, not mine!

Another famous dish is their burrito bowl. Not sure if you get the idea, but it is a burrito on a hard shell bowl - lol, but for real. This dish is not only delicious but also a healthier choice in case you want to avoid fried food and bad carbs.

For meat lovers, my favorite is the pulled pork sandwich.

If you are there for the drinks I promise you won’t be disappointed. As I said, they have a great selection of beers on draft and cocktails but one thing you need to know: craft beers and cocktails are seasonal. They are not constantly changing the drink menu, which is a good thing when you find a drink you like, but every winter/summer craft beers and cocktail list will change. So be prepared to taste traditional refreshing summer cocktails or classic warm winter brews.

Yes yes, classic cocktails will always be on their menu - don’t worry, if you are an espresso martini lover just like me, they will serve you a good one!

PS: if you know me, then you know that mimosas are my thing, but I have to admit that they have the best bloody Mary and, thanks to The Hideaway Seaport, I am constantly cheating on my mimosa with their pretty and delicious bloody Mary!

One thing you need to know about them, they are a considerably small place in the seaport neighborhood. They have an upstairs area (super cozy by the way) where they play different sports and an outdoor area, but, as I said, they are considerably small. The kitchen is small and they only have one chef, so if you go there on a busy day, food can take a minute to come out, but it is totally worth the wait. And don’t forget, you can enjoy great cocktails, watch the game and meet pretty people while you wait for your food.
